April Rain

An old rhyme says that,
"Sweet April showersWe hope so.
Do spring May flowers"
We felt very confident after the last several months of improving sales numbers that April would finally break into the plus column. Unfortunately, not this time. Stamp sales fell more than 19 percent against the previous two Aprils. Average monthly sales, which had been up last month by 1/2 a percent, also declined this month by about 13 percent.
Other products managed to eke out a small gain of just more than 1/2 of a percent.
May May blossom!
