New Lightweight Type Band Die Plate Dater

United Marking Inc. has added a new lightweight type band die plate dater to its United™ line of non-self-inking daters, numberers and die plate daters. The new umark™ type band die plate dater is available in three sizes:

Type band die plate daters are designed to preclude dates from accidentally shifting. They also provide more usable text area than comparably sized flat band die plate daters because the date slots are smaller. Each unit features a simple clasp for easy access to the type bands and external turning wheels on front and back for changing dates. The result—no inky fingers for customers when changing dates or stamping. Umark type band die plate daters weigh less than four ounces, making these products ideal for use in financial institutions, government offices or in any situation where continual stamping is necessary.

Johnson Plastics Named "Supplier of the Year" at ARA in Las Vegas

Johnson Plastics was honored with the industry's prestigious ARA "Supplier of the Year" at the 2009 ARA International Awards Market in Las Vegas. The award was presented at the annual ARA Awards Gala by ARA president-elect B.J. Bailey of Action Trophies & Awards, Carrolton, Texas. Johnson Plastics also won the Supplier of the Year award in 2007.

The award winner was determined by ARA retail members who completed an online survey in which they were asked to name two outstanding ARA supplier members, one for single location and one for multiple locations. Retail members were then asked to rate the top five nominees in each category. Johnson Plastics, which has eight locations around the United States, was the multiple location winner.
